My Lessons of 2025

My Lessons of 2025

I have a tremendous amount to learn, and I don’t have it all figured out, but I wanted to share some of the things I've learned this year.

  • I learned consumer social is extremely hard, and I have respect for the companies that have truly made it work

  • I learned that in startups, you can become an expert in something with just a high level of focus on building something new with amazing people.

  • I learned how powerful fan pages are when growing a platform and how they are some of the most underrated parts of the internet.

  • I learned that paying 1,000 fan pages via PayPal every week is not scalable.

  • I learned that venture capital needs more operators.

  • I learned that joining Ezra and now Function Health was one of the best decisions I ever made.

  • I learned more about MRI imaging and healthcare partnerships than I thought I would ever know. I also learned more and more about how broken the healthcare system is in our country.

  • I have learned that the lessons I learned as a college athlete (albeit a D3 hooper) apply so much in my everyday life at work.

  • I have learned that I continually have so much to learn.

  • I have been able to speak with three billionaires this year. I learned that each of them became the best at what they did before they went out and attempted it on their own. They were also all monomaniacally focused. I think that is one of the most underrated and hardest things to be in today's world.

  • I have learned to be focused on how I can help change healthcare.

  • I have learned that most people have no idea how the healthcare system in America works.

  • I have learned that I have been blessed with amazing role models in my life, one being my father, who shows up each day to take care of others.

  • I have learned how powerful and amazing mentors and having people champion you can be in your life.

  • I have learned you can’t please everyone.

  • I have learned that if you just do what you say you will do, you will go far.

  • I have learned that being helpful can sometimes just be being available to talk

  • I have learned that having an amazing family is not something to take for granted.

  • I have learned to trust God.
